Looking to connect with Seismic users supporting both Google Workspace and Microsoft

Hi everyone!

I’m looking to connect with an organization that uses Seismic where users operate across both Google Workspace and Microsoft platforms. Our team has a mix of both, and we’re working through some workflow and adoption considerations that come with supporting two ecosystems.

I’d love to learn from others who have navigated this. Specifically:

  • What challenges did you face supporting both platforms?

  • How did you implement features (Presentation Builder, WorkSpace, LiveSend) where the user experience varies between Google Workspace and Microsoft users?

  • What worked well (and what didn’t)?

If anyone is open to sharing their experience, I’d really appreciate the opportunity to set up a short virtual call to ask a few questions and learn from your approach.

Thanks in advance!

Hey @omgniki -

Is the delineation between platforms team-based? Or if some are using Mac vs. PC?

Have you reached out to your Seismic CSM to see if they can hook you up with an organization that has gone through similar troubles?

We do not, but I would imagine two of the bigger lifts from an admin perspective would be managing some core content in both formats, as well as potential need for duplicate job aids, if you’re creating those.

One challenge I could also see is something along the lines of an MS365 user trying to collaborate on content in WorkSpace with a Google user, or vice versa. I’m not sure how well that could be handled, unless all users have the ability to use both suites.

I do not think LiveSend would be significantly impacted, but if you have an example of a way it might be, or are curious about something specifically, I’d love to hear more about it here and build a knowledge base for other users.
