⭐ Challenge 1: My SKO Non‑Negotiable

🎯 My #1 SKO Must‑Do:

Role‑based GTM breakouts where we actually get our hands dirty practicing the exact conversations, campaigns, and motions we expect the field to run post‑SKO.

As someone who spends a lot of time helping our teams get aligned before rollout, I’ve seen firsthand how these sessions flip the switch from “That was a good session” to “I know exactly what to do next.

💡 Why It Works for Us:

These breakouts bring the energy up because teams aren’t just listening...they’re engaging, debating, practicing, and building confidence together. They bring clarity because our messaging and value pillars finally click when put into real scenarios.
They build alignment because everyone leaves speaking the same language.
And honestly… they’re just fun. Watching AEs, SEs, CS, and Alliances all sharpen each other is one of my favorite parts of SKO!

📣 How Seismic Helps Amplify It:

  • Centralizes all SKO + GTM content into one clean, intuitive Page (no more “Which deck was that in?” confusion).
  • Transforms breakout materials into interactive, role‑specific playbooks the field can use immediately.
  • Extends the new messaging to customers through polished Digital Sales Rooms.
  • Provides analytics to help us see what’s working and where to reinforce post‑SKO.
  • Keeps everything governed and up‑to‑date so no one is running plays off outdated assets.
  • Surfaces insights that help us continuously strengthen execution across the field.

⭐ Challenge 2: My Best SKO Tip or Trick

🎯 My Go-To SKO Tip:

Build a simple Seismic-powered rhythm you can rely on before, during, and after SKO, something super simple, practical, and consistent that it becomes second nature.

This is the exact flow I’ve used across SKO seasons at OneStream, especially while juggling GTM page builds, campaign prep, and SKO content alignment.

⚡ Pre‑SKO Prep

Before things get wild, I create a Seismic “SKO Prep Hub”, usually just a clean Page with:

  • an eye catching banner
  • pre‑reads
  • updated messaging
  • breakout prework
  • GTM pages or campaigns-in-a-box
  • anything that I know will get lost in inboxes later

It keeps me organized and lets me quickly point AEs, SEs, and partners to a single source of truth instead of sending 4 different links across Teams threads. It’s my version of “future me will thank me.”

🧠 During‑SKO Engagement

I rely heavily on what I call the “Find --> Apply --> Share” loop inside Seismic, especially during breakouts and Learning activities:

  • Find: When questions pop up (“Where’s the new Close messaging?” or “Where’s the updated deck?”), I pull it up in Seismic instantly.
  • Apply: I weave that content directly into group discussions or exercises...it keeps things practical and builds muscle memory.
  • Share: I drop the Seismic link in the session chat or with the breakout table so they can use it on the spot.

It sounds simple, but that tiny loop turns SKO from “content overload” into “look, here’s exactly how you use this.”

📣 Post‑SKO Reinforcement

Okay, here’s the personal part...my little secret productivity hack.

I set Seismic to auto-launch every morning from my Okta dashboard.
One click, and Seismic pops up automatically, right next to Salesforce.

It’s such a small thing, but it removes friction and puts SKO content front‑and‑center every day. Instead of hoping I remember to open the right playbooks or Pages, they’re just… there. Waiting. And so reinforcing SKO feels effortless instead of aspirational.

💜 Why I Love This Approach

It’s not fancy. It’s not complicated.
It’s simply:

  • repeatable
  • lightweight
  • sustainable
  • and a huge relief when SKO energy turns into SKO chaos

And honestly, anything that saves clicks, boosts clarity, and helps the field move faster...I’ll always say yes to that.

I know this was long, but I hoping to hear from other advocates and learn more tips and tricks!!

Cheers,

Christine

Hey Seismic! I’ve recently joined a new org and this is not only my first time using Seismic… it’s my first time running RKO in March (since my former org had a July fiscal). I will be following this thread - hoping for more tips. Here are a few from me:

⭐ Challenge:  My Best SKO Tip or Trick(s)

Sharing [just one?!] practical SKO tip, tactic, or workflow (bonus points for Seismic or AI!) that helps with:

⚡ Pre-SKO prep:

Send calendar holds for your key sessions. Even if you publish an agenda early via Slack or Teams, sellers and attendees won’t remember when key things are taking place!

🧠 During-SKO engagement:

Use Mentimeter to collect real-time questions, poll responses (or even sentiments… create a word cloud!) This puts it on your sellers to lean in, engage and get out of a session what they put into it.

📣 Post-SKO reinforcement:

Share QR codes at the end of your session(s) that link directly to the deck or resource you referenced…. and make sure that QR code leads to Seismic! We did this with PDF-one pagers. Pro tip: If possible, make sure they’re mobile-accessible and don’t require authentication

Can’t wait to hear what else you all have in mind! My RKO is March 2nd…

Great ideas...I’m going to propose some of these ideas for our SKO this year! thanks for sharing!
