Hi, I have been using Seismic for nearly a decade and found all of the legacy questions about LiveDocs and LiveInsights helpful. Are old posts simply inaccessible now at this point? It also seems that certifications from University were removed from my profile, is this intentional?

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you on this! You’re right, older community posts weren’t moved over to the new platform. When we audited our old community content, a lot of it was outdated or no longer relevant, so we made the decision to start fresh.

That said, I completely understand that some of those earlier discussions—like the LiveDoc posts you mentioned—could still be helpful. If you can share a bit more about what you’re trying to find or accomplish, we’d be happy to help get those conversations going again here in the new community or point you to the best current resources.

On the certifications side, we recently launched our new University experience where you can access all of your certification details. We’re also working on integrating that directly into the new community to show you are certified.

👉One quick question for you, would you find it more helpful if we created a dedicated discussion category for LiveDocs, or launched a LiveDocs “skill exchange” user group where customers could share ideas, templates, and best practices? We’d love your input as we continue shaping the community experience.

I’m just a bit confused, I went through many courses over the years and completed exams like the Seismic Administrator Certification Exam. When I go to University now, My Learning is completely blank. Below is a screenshot of the email acknowledgment from Seismic. I understand if the newer exams are needed, but to remove my certification rather than just say it lapsed or needs to be renewed makes me not want to take this again because it will probably vanish again. For context, I still have LiveDocs Basics documentation from 2016 and recall when the LiveInsights was PowerBI rather than Sisense. I don’t need anything to be done here, but more just providing my feedback as a longtime user.

It seems this course now costs which may make more sense as I would assume would indicate these are more comprehensive.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts here Jimmy and for the long history you have with Seismic. I really appreciate you taking the time to call this out.

Just to clarify what you’re seeing: while not all historical learning and certifications display by default in Seismic University today, your past records haven’t been deleted. We’re able to reinstate prior course and certification history upon request, and we’re working on doing that for you now.

I hope you’ll continue to invest time into the certifications - while they might lapse and need to be renewed, your effort and recognition won’t vanish!
